Pour is a black with almost no head. Aroma is a slight roast with some cocoa. Flavor is a decent ashy roasted malt with some bitter bakers chocolate. Finish leaves some roast on the tongue. Decent porter served way too cold.

At the brewpub with lunch. faint pour for a porter. Nose is light coffee and smoked malt. Tastes of flat cola, hint of coffee, earth, some malt tones. Watery palate. Despite that not unpleasant.

Draft - Chocolate and roast malts. Jet black with a creamy beige head. Chocolate bad coffee with a bit of burnt roast. Nitro makes it very rich on the tongue. Not bad.

~ 16 ounce draft at the Casino Bar at the Main Street Station, Las Vegas, Nevada. The pour is a hazy brown black with a one inch tan head. The aroma is light roast, malt sweetness and a hint of mineral. The taste is a nice subtle blend of the malt sweet and the roast. The mineral earthiness dries out the finish. The palate is medium to light bodied, crisp clean finish. Nice, this was maybe a touch subdued, though the nice clean roast flavor and the clean finish made it really drinkable.

A deep dark porter with a thin dark brown head. In aroma, nice roasted coffee malt with herbal hops. In mouth, a smooth bitter chocolate with coffee grinds, silky mouthfeel, well done. On tap at brewpub, August 8 2012.

Draught at the brewpub. Near black, small head. Strong coffee aroma. Dry, clean and grainy with medium body. There’s coffee and licorice, resiny bitterness. Simple, but well drinkable porter
