The Flat12 Porter is inspired by the robust porters favored by the Industrial-age working men of Europe. We chose to emphasize balance from a combination of dark grains including brown malt, which was the primary roasted grain of the time. This Flat12 creation is smooth and balanced with slight roast and chocolate notes, yet it’s not heavy, just like a good porter should be. ABV: 5.5% IBU: 34.1

Growler shared by Gene at RBWG 2014 Grand Tasting, thanks! Pours a clear brown with an amber hue and a gray head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a light roast note, with dark grains and a hint of dark fruits. Flavor is a touch thin but grows to have roasted malts and dark grains.
