Can. A- Rye, mild citrus, subtle pine. A- Copper brown color, cloudy liquid, off white head. T- Rye, bitter, citrus, pine, malty. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, bitter finish. O- Had this sitting around for a while so at a solid year old, it probably wasn't in it's prime. All things considered, it was pretty good. Tons of malt and rye that pretty much overpower everything. Completed with a touch of pine and citrus bitterness. Liked it a lot better than I thought I might.

Can from Craft Brewed. Pours a deep, clear brown with a soapy head that lingers. Plum, rye bread and piney hops dominate the nose. Very bitter on the palate, with some burnt caramel and more pine. Very dry and bitter finish. Not really my kind of rye ipa. --- Beer merged from original tick of Another Way to Rye on 18 Jul 2017 at 23:19 - Score: 5. Original review text: Pine, roasted caramel, rye bread and plum. Overly bitter, burnt caramel. Piney bitterness. Not for me.

Tingly and lingering like a good rye IPA should be, but the sweet malt center might be a little too heavy for its own good. Gets thick in the middle, a tad syrupy with a deep caramel vein, until the piney hop finish rouses all the loafers. Not bad, but could use a little more vitriol.

Taste comprises orange pith, grapefruit, grassy bitterness, pine needle, caramel. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a dose of earthy hoppage. Solid.

Growler from Riverside Wine & Spirits in Chattanooga. Pours clear deep amber with a tall, off-white head. Spicy, citrus hop aroma. The flavor is nicely bitter with a good malt support. The rye bite comes in with the finish. Nice rye IPA.
