Dark amber with a lasting off-white head. Aroma of dark sugar with dried fruit and a little spice. Sweet malty and fruity flavour with a touch of wine and some tannins in the finish. A bit too simple for the style and strength.

Bottle pour at Before 9. Brown-orange, cloudy, with lace. Fruity nose, peach, apple, caramel, sherry. Sweet and fruity, caramel and sherry. A bit heavy and sweet. Ok.

Beer Traveler BA Olroiso This barrel-aged belgian Dubbel is a bright clear amber with an enticing nose of bready rich spiciness that reminds me of a Christmas style spiced bun. The body is surprisingly dry with a woodsy bitter caramel and some candied fruit. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From the bottle at Mikkeller Tokyo. Thanks Tim for sharing! Big oaky nose with grapes, sour prunes and some chewy raw yeasty dough. Sourdough like on the palate with some spices and chocolate character that comes through as well. Soft carbonation. Kinda weird. It does hide the abv fairly well though. --- Beer aliased from original tick of The Beer Traveler BA Oloroso on 04 May 2016 at 19:31 - Score: 6. Original review text: Cinnamon, light oak. Low carbonation. Light dubbel. Not bad.

Mahogany color. A bit of sour milk, chocolate character in the nose. A bit too sour for Dubble. The oloroso is good but body is a bit thin sour. Very ok.
