Draft at Smoke & Barrel. Poured a dark, almost jet black color with a small off-white head. Aroma was nice citrus notes. Well balanced chocolate and roasted malts with a tasty, citrus and pine hop note. Quite a tasty.

16oz pour at the brewery. Nose is really nice, unique too, tropical fruit, blood orange, orange peel, some bread crust, a hint of toasted malt. The Falconer’s Flight really shines. Flavor is solid too, malty, lightly roasty, blood oranges, mild spice, lemon, some pine. Dry, bitter finish. Very well crafted.

Draft at the source. Almost black color, thick beige head. Aroma of dark cocoa, light citrus. Taste is dark roast coffee, chocolate syrup on a background of citrus. Nice to see the citrusy hops in there, rather than the usual pine flavors if most black IPAs.
