Very dark brown coloured body wth a nice four centimetre tall tan head and a quite opaque brown glow, about 75% opaque. Aroma of roasted malt, light earth, nuts, cream, vanilla, dry grain and a faint note of cherries and other fruits. Medium-bodied; Assertive dry roasted malt flavours with a hit of alcohol, some nuts and coffee flavours and a touch of grain on the finish, but also some hop flavours on the more subdued side and a hint of cream on the tail end. Aftertaste is relatively simple with the nuts and earth hitting the hardest and a little bit of hop bitterness perceivable from the palate. Overall, a decent Black IPA that looks better than it turns out being; not a bad beer, but not great or really worth searching out. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Wine Cheese & More in Chincoteague, Virginia on 28-May-2017 for US$1,89 sampled at home in Washington on 25-June-2017.

From a 12 oz bottle shared at home. Pours a clear dark cola with a tan head. Slight chocolate nose. Flavors of mocha with significant grassy hop notes. High carbonation. BItter finish.

12oz bottle pours a murky black with some very frothy, sudsy, lacing white head. Nose has a lot of bread crust, some toast, malt, earthy dirt, some hand some, some perfume, not a whole ton of citrus. A bit of tangerine in the flavor, some juice, some pine, but mostly hand soap, then some bread crust, a little dirt. Soapy finish. Flavor is decent, just not sure what to make of everything.

Bottle in hotel room orlando... Deep brown black... Big tan foam head... Dark roast... Chocolate and tiny pine touch nose ... Dark mellow roast... Lightest charcoal... Very mellow pine hop... I really lime this even if it is a little fizzy
