Ben drinking this 500mL bottle for a few months. Why? Well, it's hard to drink. At first I like the strong but not overly spicy pepper flavor. Fish peppers are interesting that way. But anything more than a cursory overview of this cider makes you realize how offputting it all is. Very herbal, heather, and mothballs tea aroma. Flavor has pepper and similar mothballs.

Bottle at the Charlottesville Tasting shared by maniac, thanks! Hazy lemonade yellow. Aromas of fresh cut green and jalapeno peppers. Tastes of honey, pickled jalapeno peppers. Medium-light body with a dry and warm spicy finish.

Pepper nose. Milky yellow, still. Tangy and hot, pepper, crabapple, and lime. Light body, but spicy and tart.Pepper adds some heat, but should be palatable for most. Truly excellent.

Sample at the cidery. Will change rating when consuming the bottle I purchased if rating changes. Poured a cloudy yellow color with a pretty still head after initial foamy head subsides. Aroma is delicious sweet pepper skin and fruit notes with an underlying heat. Flavor was nice pepper burn, just hot enough without being too hot. Delicious for those who like something a bit spicy.

750ml bottle pours a hazy hold with a clump of white head that fades fast. Nose is very inviting, apples, honey, fruity chile, pink peppecorn, hints of tropical fruit, dried pear, a little roasted red bell pepper. Flavor has more peppercorn, plenty of fruit and vegetal notes, floral too, some potpourri, mild honey, sweet bell pepper. Prickly finish, mildly hot. Really well blended.

Bottle from the source shared in Room 116 of the Ohio University Inn, Athens, Ohio. Cloudy pale yellow color. Aroma of honey, apple flesh on a background if singed pepper flesh. Taste is fresh pepper flesh, dried apple skins. Some heat at the finish, just the right amount, and more pepper flesh. Tasty and unique.
