This brown ale was brewed to commemorate the Lungevity Everest Expedition. Brian Oestrike the brother of Jackie O’s owner Art, sumitted the unforgiving mountain on May 22nd, 2007. The climb was a vehicle to raise money and awareness about lung cancer. The people of Tibet call Mt. Everest “Chomolungma” this exceptional ale carries on the spirit of the climb. 8 Malts, 2 hops, and twenty pounds of wild flower honey give this ale an exceptional character. Baked muffins, dark fruit, bittersweet chocolate, rich honey and earthy subtle hops caress the palate. Booze soaked chocolate raisins round out the warm finish.

Sampled on draft at Vintage Estate this beer poured a very dark brown color with a medium sized creamy tan head that lingered and left great lacing. The aroma was malty, dark fruits and a tough toasty. The flavor was malty and a touch toasty with dark fruits. Long finish. Medium body. Meh.

Draft, Nano Brew Cleveland on 26 Nov, 2014. Dark brown color with thick lacing. Aroma is woody, nutty and earthy, very nice… Taste is nicely earthy with a nutty and a hint of caramel as well as yeast. Medium bodied, slightly creamy, soft carbonation fills the mouth. Chewy texture. Was wondering if lactose is used because the earthy hints are balanced with a good amount of sugar sweetness.

This is a darknwoody brown. Brown espresso head. Very nice mild brown ale nose. Taste is out of this world though. So creamy and full of walnut and pecan taste. The yeast is just really present and woody

Draft at the Jackie O’s Public House, 7/13/14. Pours a hazy red-brown color with a large frothy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of nuts, chocolate, mild roasted malt and dark fruits. The taste is chocolate, nuts, roasted malts, hops, mild honey. Medium bodied, low carbonation, slight lingering bitterness, refreshing.

12 oz. can, thanks to Treebute. Pours black, with a small, creamy, beige head. The aroma is bittersweet chocolate, coffee, raisins, molasses and light cinnamon. Heavy, malty sweetness, with just a touch of earthy bitterness. Medium body, chalky, and thick. Overall, this is a nice, flavorful brown ale, with lots of chocolate and dark fruits.
