Dark, rich and frothy, Dawk’s Classic Porter is by far our heartiest brew. Roasted chocolate and black patent malts create the ominous ebony color which dominates this beer.

On tap at North End, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out dry bready malt and some dry dark fruits. Flavour is fruity and dry, with bready English malt and some dry blackberry-like fruitiness. Pleasant enough — likely their best beer, which isn't saying much.

Thanks to BVery for sharing a growler of a rare W VA tick. A dry porter. Brown color with roasted malt. On the light side in terms of flavor and palate, for the style.

4 oz. sample at the brewpub. Pours black with medium beige head. Roasty aroma, medium/light body, and thin small bubble lacing. Taste is roasty and some chocolate. Easy to drink for a porter and good. My favorite NET beer.

Approximately 3 ounce sample pour (in a plastic oversized shot glass) at the brewpub in Parkersburg, West Virginia. The pour is a brown copper with more or less no head. The aroma is vanilla sweet and a bit of roast malt. The taste starts with the sweet vanilla, turns to the char roast and finishes with some nice pine hop. Good interplay between the flavors. The palate is medium to light bodied, low carbonation level, and a dry char mineral finish. Surprised to see this listed as 8%, did not feel that big. Nicely done, my type of Porter.

Served on draft at the brewpub. Pours a dark brown color with a large creamy tan head. Average head retention and lacing. Aroma of roasted malts with a faintly sweet note. The taste is roasted malts and coffee. A little on the thin side.

On draught at the brewpub. This beer is a glossy black color with a medium thin and creamy light beige head. Sheets of lacing on the glass. Aroma of coffee, malt and some nuts. Medium, smooth body with a roasted coffee character. Malt and dark chocolate flavors are present as well as some hops. The finish is moderately bitter coffee and hops. Overall this is a pretty good Porter that is sigificantly better than the other N.E.T. beers I tried.
