Orange caramel color with a large foamy white head that left excellent lacing. Strong orange and pine. Long finish. Medium body.

On tap at North End, pours a clear copper golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out sweet caramel malt and resinous hops in a way that makes it seem like the malt eclipses the hops. Flavour is not terrible, with resinous hops, some earthy notes, a bit of sweatiness, and a big caramel bready malt base. Earthy, sweaty hop character that just isn't all that nice. Not terrible but not pleasing.

From BVery’s growler, thanks for sharing. Some floral and herbal aromas, which is the best thing about this beer. Flavor is all over the place and no flavor particularly comes through. It is bitter but lacks hop flavor.

Approximately 3 ounce sample pour (in a plastic oversized shot glass) at the brewpub in Parkersburg, West Virginia. The pour is a light haze golden copper with a small white head. The aroma is caramel malt and floral resin and grapefruit hop. The taste is hop forward, resin floral grapefruit sweet, perhaps a bit of pine, a touch of bitterness, followed by the malt which kicks in the finish adding some sweetness. The palate is medium to light bodied, low carbonation level, and the sweet turns a bit chemically in the finish.

Sample at the brewpub. The beer is a clear orange color with a mediumm off-white head that diminishes slowly. Thin sheet of lacing. Aroma of citrusy hops and light malt. Medium body with a moderately hoppy flavor that has floral and citrusy characteristics. Touches of malt as well. The finish is hoppy with a lingering mild bitterness. Not a bad IPA overall, although I am kind of surprised at the 8% ABV per the chalkboard.
