Enticing amber color with aroma of sweet pumpkin pie, savory spices, and hints of sweet malt. Rich and creamy with a chewy mouthfeel that you can sink your teeth into. Flavors of pumpkin up front then sweet malt, pie crust, spice, hints of brown sugar, and a clean finish.

Can from Livonia Liquor. Pours a dark amber to light brown with a finger of beige head that lingers. Big aromas of clove, molasses and bready malt on the nose.Balanced, but leans dry on the palate...same flavors. Clove really dominates and lingers on the finish. Too much clove for me.

12 ounce can. Amber orange color. Rocky beige head. Earthy toasted malt aroma hints at cinnamon, clove and nutmeg. A bit of toasted bread and caramel as well. Warming alcohol in middle. Bittersweet peppery hop finish. Decent.

Generally the only thing worse than a pumpkin beer is an imperial pumpkin beer. This is slightly better than most pumpkin beers as there is a hint of malt and booze at least. Otherwise... Tap at brewpub.

bottle - This beer has a nice spicy aroma with nutmeg especially noticeable to me. The flavor is sweet and spicy with a good kick of pumpkin and some caramel. Medium to full bodied. The 9% abv is buried. Quite good.

Bottle. Nutmeg, ginger. light cinnamon, and pumpkin malt aroma. Dark amber with small head. Sweet-bitter nutmeg, ginger, and caramel/pumpkin malt flavor. Nice balance - hides its strength well.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 8/27/2013. Pours very hazy/cloudy deep reddish orange color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a thin lace cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass, with some light streaming carbonation. Aromas of big pumpkin, brown sugar, caramel, toast, biscuit, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, clove, and herbal earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of malt, pumpkin, and spice notes; with good strength. Taste of brown sugar, pumpkin, caramel, toast, biscuit, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, clove, and herbal earthiness. No bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of brown sugar, pumpkin, caramel, toast, biscuit, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, clove, and herbal earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and complexity of pumpkin, malt, and spice flavors; with a great malt sweetness/spice balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a moderately slick and lightly syrupy mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice imperial pumpkin ale. All around good balance and complexity of malt, pumpkin, and spice flavors; and very smooth to sip on for the ABV. A very enjoyable offering.
