The Pumpkin Brew With a Bite!

Enticing amber color with aroma of sweet pumpkin pie, savory spices, and hints of sweet malt. Rich and creamy with a chewy mouthfeel that you can sink your teeth into. Flavors of pumpkin up front then sweet malt, pie crust, spice, hints of brown sugar, and a clean finish.

12 oz. bottle thanks to queenholly. Nice head retention on a dark caramel/ amber beer. The nose is the usual spice of nutmeg, cinnamon and a nice amount of pumpkin. Malt sweetness with the above mentioned spices and an added vanilla and pie crust. Texture is borderline cloying sweetness. I enjoy malty brews so to say this is overly sweet is a bit of a surprise for me, since I don’t say that often. Anyhow…. Yeah, sweet.

12oz 4-pack scooped up in Dayton OH. Unfiltered burgundy-brown body. Patchy, steady off-white head. Sweet and rich, the with a real deep caramel pumpkin flavor. The spices balance, rather than overwhelm. Solid offering, glad I picked up a few,.

Bottle courtesy of nuplastikk, thank you! Hazy amber color, fluffy white head. Aroma of gourd! Yes, this one really smelled like pumkins. Taste had way more gourd than anythig. Else too. Fantastic to see a beer where the pumpkin outweighs the spice by a long way.

Bottle: Pours a deep amber with two fingers of creamy beige head. Retains a thin beige layer throughout the glass. Nose is spicey, a nice blend of the ‘pumpkin pie’ spices, nutmeg, cinnamon, and just a little sweetness. Tastes of pumpkin and many spices. Nothing really stands alone, but if I had to pick one out I’d go with nutmeg. Seemingly pie crust too, which is nice. The malt bill is sweet enough to tame the spiciness that is too often overbearing in this style. Really well balanced and quaffable. The pie crust element is impressive and the overall balance is delightful. Really nice pumpkin ale. Thanks JStax!

12oz bottle thanks to jstax. Pours out golden topped with a long lasting head. Nose is pumpkin pie malts and a nice spice mix. Taste is more of the pumpkin pie spice and a nice sweetness. This thing hides the high abv very well and I would have to say this was my favourite pumpkin beer of the season.

Bottle. Cinnamon heavy pumpkin pie spice and sweet malty pumpkin aroma. Clear deep amber with a large beige head. Sweet pumpkin malt and pumpkin pie spices, as well as some alcohol flavor. Medium full body, soft carbonation. Solid, but predictable pumpkin ale.

Slightly cloudy, red-orange with a small, light tan head. Cola, pumpkin aroma. Taste is heavily spiced pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg... Brown sugar....malty. This brewery has some chops.... Good..very good.

On tap at Vintage Estates, nice place. This beer is much better than I thought it would be. Slight haze on a yellow beer that is slightly darker than pale lager. Somewhat sweet aroma. No co2 on the toungue, almost cask in nature. More pumpkin forward than most pumpkin beers and it is somewhat pleasant! Easy to get along with. Yez, rather mild with manners. Probalby one of the best pumpkin beers I’ve tasted ina few years.

Sample at GABF 10/11/2012, thanks to Bluemeow76 for assistance with note-taking. Dark orange-amber pour with a medium off-white head. Spotty lacing. Caramel malt and ginger aroma. Medium-bodied with sweet malt, ginger and pumpkin flavors. Sweet pumpkin spice aftertaste. Pretty good all around.
