Holden's Dark Nitro is a creamy, nitrogenated dark mild ale (4.0% ABV) brewed by the historic Holden's Brewery in the West Midlands. Served on tap, the nitro infusion gives it a velvety, smooth mouthfeel and a cascading pour similar to a classic Irish stout, while still delivering the traditional nutty and chocolate malt notes of a classic dark mild.

Nice mild, soft in general, lightly toasted mats, low bitterness, a few leaves. Basic stuff.

Bottleshare at CBJ. Thanks to Wingman for the can. Near clear amber beer, a residual pale tan head. Airy palate. No real carbonation. Thin caramel malts, sweet candy. Light finish. Shiza.

Can at CBJ Tasting. Opaque brown. Thin beige head skims the surface. Aroma has a sour edge and then watery coffee. Light bitter with a sour edge. Creamy. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. OK.
