Don't dismiss Little Saison by its lower alcohol content. Your tast buds would never forgive you. It packs a wallop of flavor, a bit more girth and earthly bitterness, followed by tangy aromas of lemon and dill. It's a tart little classic that can quench any monstrous thirst.

Draft pour pint at Special Brews. A perfect, pre softball game, sunny day beer here. Cloudy, pale golden pour here. A slight funk, Belgian yeast aroma. Flavor is pure bubblegum to me. Bazooka if I have to pick a brand. Only because it’s my favorite. Soft banana and Belgian constant. Refreshing session saison. Long, cool finish. Interesting.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a hazy yellow gold with medium frothy off white head leaving sticky lacing. The aroma is yeast, clove, citrus. Medium mouth, clove, wheat, yeast, crisp finish, very good.

Draught, St. Augs. Cloudy, pale. The aroma is yeasty, maybe a touch peppery. Sweet front, then yeasty, with just a touch of hop dryness. Ok, certainly quaffable, like a proper classic (low alc) saison should be.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Cloudy pale blond color. The aroma is a bit lemony and orangey; the mouthfeel is not too weak or too dry; light wheat flavor with light spicy presence and some bitter orange peel; quite bitter overall.
It’s a regular Witbier (I would have expected a drier, cleaner and sharper beer to be defined Saison).

On tap at pFriem, pours a cloudy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out light notes of lemon and dill, along with some rustic notes. Flavour brings out notes of lemon and dill, followed by some dry hoppiness and slight florally rustic notes. Highly drinkable, finishing dry and dill-like. Great saison.
