Pours hazy golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, yeast, pine, alcohol, wood and hint of funk and honey. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long slightly warm, aquavit, woody, yeasty, funky and piney finish. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to fizzy

Bottle, 75cl. An unclear, golden orange colored beer with a small off-white head. Almost saison-ish aroma with a barrel touch, a generic fruityness, some spiced notes and a vinous touch and a booze hint. Some caraway. It is full bodied, with a soft carbonation, rather dry on the palate, with a suitable bitterness, some spiced, peppery and woody flavors and a generic fruityness. Lasting finish. Lovely indeed, and interesting to try an aquavit barrel aged braggot. 150821

On tap @ Bailey’s Taproom, Portland, Sixth Anniversary Barrel Aged Fest. As Bjork And Poetry. Pours hazy golden with a small airy head. Aroma is tart with unmistakable whiffs of aquavit, herbs, camphor, birch and foresty. Creamy body without carbonation. Flavour is quite sweet with camphor, wood and fruit, but with a tart herby finish of aquavit barrels.
