Tap Delirium Taphouse. Not hugely impressed. Will try again. Ultra grainy, little bit of creaminess. Not so nice. Bit twiggy. Not very exciting. Brown bread and little bit spicy. Better towards the end though, so a few extra marks.

75cl bottle from Vanuxeem. Pours a misty gold, medium white head. Aroma is herbal with some hay, faint saison esters. Taste is rather disappointing, weak, a touch watery with odd tired herbs. I checked the Best Before and noticed I bought it the month it was going out of date, but on reading other ratings it seems this could be an accurate representation of the beer anyway. Open to re-rate a fresh bottle.

Many thanks for this beer to Eric De Geyter.

Bottle. Hazy to cloudy golden color, white head. Aroma of lightly dusty caramel. Taste is caramel, straw, hay. Interesting.

Bottle. Nose is yeast, slightly stale, cardboard, a lot of agitation gets a little spice and grassy hops. Taste is fruity, malty, lots of cereal, bready leading to a short corrainder, herbal, earthy and pepper finish. Pleasingly dry. This is baffling, Rulles make good beer, but this is quite rubbish. I think it’s meant to be a traditional style earthy farmhouse, but it’s too thin and lacks depth.

Bottled. A hazy golden beer with a huge lazing yellowish head. The aroma has notes of spices, yeast, hops, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, yeast, fruit, yeast, and spices, leading to a dry finish.

Copper colour with lasting head. Light bread and yeast. Pleasant but lacking depth.

Pours a hazy orangey golden color, topped with a medium white head. Soury fruit aroma, slightly spicy. Taste is slightly yeasty with spices present. A bit sweet and also a tad herbal. Has that stale texture feel. Not bad, but nothing special.

Bottled (from Willems). Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is bready, fruity and mildly yeasty notes. Flavour is bready, some sweet malts and mild floral and grassy notes. Balanced and quite nice, but not the most typical nor the best Rulles beer.
