Bottle to mug, the appearance was a dark copper/amber color with a steady foamy white head that fell off at a decent pace. Sly messy lace.
The aroma had a nice arrangement of toffee/caramel malts blending nicely with some earthy hops, came across also with a slight floral to spicy note.
The flavor had the spicy to earthy to floral to sweet quality melding together fairly nice. With a nicely blended aftertaste between all of the previously mentioned tastes, the finish was malty with a little bit of that spicy note.
The palate was about medium bodied, sitting perhaps just a touch under and complimenting the carbonation pretty nice. ABV felt appropriate.
Overall, pretty nice Irish red ale that I would have again.
