Reviewed from notes.
This was poured into a tulip at a bottle share last month.
The appearance was a nice looking bronzed orange color with a thin slim quarter finger white foamy head that quickly died off. Barely any lacing.
The smell had a strong big authentic pumpkin with a delicate ginger spice and a light vanilla rolling through.
The taste copied the smell and carried a nice sweet pumpkin but a delicate ginger spice that I really liked.
On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a good sessionability maybe leaning towards the sipping quality. The carbonation was extremely smooth and good.
Overall, what a nice imperialized pumpkin ale. If I lived in its distro, I’d probably be buying this all of the time. Good stuff.

GABF 2014. I don’t have a lot to say about it one. Standard pumpkin pie spices; cinnamon; cloves. Sweet, and it pulls off the traditional pumpkin beer well. Brown color.

Sample at GABF 10/04/2014, thanks to my BIL for assistance with note-taking. Hazy copper color with a medium off-white head that diminishes quickly. Short strings of lace. Aroma of roasted malt and pumpkin spice. Medium to full body with flavors of caramel, ginger and roast malt. The finish is sweet with a pumpkin pie spice aftertaste. Above average overall.

Bottle. Clear deep ruby amber color, bright white head, a beautiful beer. Aroma of gourd! more than spice, for a change. Taste is smooth and lightly spiced. Good stuff.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark caramel color with a medium sized foamy orange-brown head that left decent lacing. The aroma was sweet caramel, nutmeg, cinnamon and bread. The flavor was sweet sugar, caramel, bread, strong nutmeg, moderate cinnamon and clove and reminded me overall of pecan pie filling. Long sweet sugar and caramel finish with lingering nutmeg, cinnamon and clove. Moderately full bodied. Well done.

OK, so waht, this is 4 months past its prime, big ass deal, its 9%. Any beer with such a high % has to age nicely or its not a good beer, there ya have it. So, its a punkin and its high alky so I’m not expecting much. In my harley mug (from iceland) it smells sweet but not cloying...yet. Brownish color with lots of visible co2, does not look viscous like so many high alky brews. Sweet but not appreciative pumpkin flavors and spice, a little bit of heat going down the gullet. That bottle has absolutely npo sediment. Clear and iced tea incolor. Darker iced tea. Yes, each swig is big nasty sweet high alky pumky thing. Not sure if its really punkin or if its pumpkin spice. Finish is nasty cough medicine. Typical imperial pumpkin beer. What is so attractive about these high alky beers, I’ll never know, I’m mean no.

12 ounce bottle. Deep amber, red color. Small bubbly beige head. Rich pumpkin pie aroma upfront. Hints of clove, cinnamon, nutmeg and caramel. Tangy toasted caramel malt flavor is a cross between a caramel apple and pumpkin pie. Lot’s of flavor here. Pecans, cloves, raisins, vanilla and allspice come to mind. Medium to full bodied with a residual sweetness you’d expect for the style. Some sticky hops in finish. One of the best pumpkin ales i have tried.

12 oz bottle from Liquor Outlet Wine Cellars ,Boonton, NJ. Used a lager glass. Orange/ brown color. Nose is a REAL pleasant pumpkin spice. Bubbly carbonation that dies and leaves small white head with light spotty lace. Smells good and looks good but flavor has large amounts of spice. Flavor is mostly cinnamon, and nutmeg. Has a pale malt base. Pumpkin is a undertone hiding in the background. Pumpkin is not over done. The one great attribute is I can’t pick up the high ABV at all. Well above average.

Bottle shared by Sean, thanks! Poured a hazy deep orange with a near white head that lasted throughout the beer. Aroma was full of pumpkin backed by spice with cinnamon coming through. Flavor began with pumpkin and was back by a growing spice, but the spice never overwhelmed the beer.
