Can shared at Cafe Abseits during the Bamberg Jolly - January 2014. Cheers! Pours clear brown with a creamy, off-white head. Very good stuff, with some cocoa, light pumpkin, mellow spices. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Fairly sweet on the finish, with more notes of chocolate blended with fleshy pumpkin, and well seasoned with cinnamon. Nice beer.

At a tasting, thanks, smallish creamy head, opaque very dark brown color, aroma of sesame, ginger, some pumpkin and cola, flavor of ginger, sesame cola and soy, feels oriental, quite sweet. Interesting and drinkable but a bit to spicy.

Can sample at a tasting at troubles’s place. Thanks troubles. Dark brown to black. Aroma of lots of winter spices, caramel, a bit of chocolate, roast. Sweet flavor with caramel, chocolate, lots of spices, a bit of bitterness. Medium-bodied. Not my thing.

Can pour into pint glass from Epsom Circle Market, Epsom NH. Aroma is mild roasted malt, smoke, chocolate and pumpkin spice, late alcohol. Appearance is very dark opaque brown, with mild sparkle at sides of glass, thin foamy beige head with nice soapy lacing. Taste is mild roasty malt base with pumpkin spice, caraway and late cinnamon. Palate is medium bodied with soft, silky texture, average carbonation and spicy, dry finish. Overall, fairly subtle all around with a unique twist from the caraway.

Purchased at Bottles and Cans in Chicago, IL; enjoyed at home on a warm fall evening, this is a good brew for the weather. Appearance is pitch black, thin tan rim. Aroma of pumpkin, cinnamon, chocolate, light sour. Taste is unique, some sips are good, some aren't. Gets better as it warms and there's a bit of hazelnut that comes out, but at times it's like this one went bad.

Can: Dark brown pour with a small beige cap. Light nose of cinnamon and hints of pumpkin hidden in the sweet roasty scent. Spices get a little heavy in the taste; I wish it had more of the sweeter Baltic porter roast. Light pumpkin presence. Overall a decent twist on the BP.

tastes like a big old pumpkin muffin, bready and winter spice. Some of the porter roast grains shine through, and a hint of alcohol warmth make this a nice fall/winter quaff. Dark bodied in color, medium weight mouth feel, fairly slick and oily. Small beige head caps this off.

Canned 7/31/14.
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a semi-dark brown color with a thin white slightly foamy head that dissipated within about a minute leaving some light stringy lacing.
The smell had a nice blend of roasty coffee and chocolate, lightly dosed with cinnamon, allspice, pumpkin spice and coriander.
The taste was roasty, sweet and spicy through a combination of the prior mentioned flavors.
On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a tad bit of sessionability to it. It left a nice sweet smooth creamy spiciness running over my tongue.
Overall, I say this was a nicely done Baltic Porter that had some different aspects not necessarily true of the style but still worthy of partaking of more.
