We recently invited our pals from Rivington up the road from Home Farm, to help us out with our first ever DIPA! West coast, of course. It’s got to be crispy, clean, and bitter enough so you a still tell that it’s a Newbarns beer.

We went for a blend of classic and modern hops with Centennial and Amarillo for the foundation then some Citra, Mosaic and Nelson Sauvin added in there for some extra tasty pizzazz!

Vegan friendly, as always :)

440ml can. Clear golden with a white head. Aroma of orange and grapefruit, white wine, gooseberry, light herbal/dank. Taste of citrus fruits, orange, grapefruit, vinous, white wine, gooseberry, grape, topical fruit hints, resinous bitterness. Medium bodied. Solid westie DIPA, would prefer a bit more bitterness though.

Cam, big thanks to my bro. It pours crystal clear yellow with a thick, fluffy white head. The aroma is so fresh and fragrant, layers of citrus, earl grey tea, peachy, melon, apricot jam, green, pine, hop sack and hint of spearmint. The taste is firmly dry, pleasing and lingering bitterness, super clean & crisp malt base, green, pine needles, touch weedy, grapefruit, lemon verbena, pomelo, orchard fruits, spicy edge and kick of alcohol worth a bone dry and bitter finale. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Flavourful with exquisite balance. Incredible.
