Our first release of our barrel aged "funk" beers from our cellar, aged two years in a red wine Bordeaux barrel with the addition of Brettanomyces yeast. This barrel aged strong ale is complex with notes of bread, dark fruits, spice, sweet warming alcohol and rich oak tannins. Bottle conditioned with a third fermentation in cork & cage style champagne bottles, it’s a great sipper to share at the table and will age nicely in your beer cellar. This limited edition batch yielded only 250 bottles, each one hand numbered, drink it now or take it home, while supplies last.

750ml bottle pours a muddy brown with zero head. Smells of vinegar and cooked rhubarb. Flavor has an odd industrial candiness, a flick of capsaicin. Thin finish. Really weird and kind of gross.

Bottle shared by argo, thanks! Poured a cloudy amber color with a very wispy, almost nonexistant head. Aroma was brown sugar, some grapes, earthy hops. Brown sugar, sweetness, not a lot of sour unfortunately.
