500ml can on the Saratov-Moscow train. Pours pale yellow with a white head. Aroma of hops and malt. Taste is brewing cereal and some hops. More bitterness than the usual lagers offered by Baltika, but the taste is harsh and pretty unpleasant.

BOTTLE 50CL

Look: clear yellow, white frothy head.
Aroma: light spicy herbal hops, grassy, some grain.
Taste: dry, clean and crisp, light hops, light salty, very light bitter finish. Now everything is light, including the body, but the beer does not seem empty or watery and is actually quite a decent czech-style pilsener.

500ml bottle provided by djoeye and shared with Frau Eva. Bright golden body to an airy white head with satisfying retention and lacing. Mild sweet pale malty smell with grassy hints. Flavour of bread-like malts and some noble hops. Distant bitter endnotes. Soft carbonated and rather fine bodied. Food friendly. Fair enough (Tromsø 23.02.2014).

From tap. Pale golden, OK head. Aroma: grain, grass. Taste: Mostly light bitter with a sour note. Watery at finish. A marketing product without any tradition but with just exploiting of someone’s image. Not fair.

Bottle. Pours yellow, with a creamy head. Promising and quite yeasty aroma with hay and spices, but also malty sweetness with toffee and honey. Flavour is almost sour, with grain, bread and cardboard.

Bottled 500ml. -from some gas station in Ukraine. Clear golden coloured, medium sized white head, grassy nose. Sweetish malty, bready and mild grassy with light cardboard notes. Moderate dusty and light bitter finish. Quite industrial.

(Bottle, 0.5 l, courtesy of FatPhil, 20120721) The beer poured pale golden and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had sweetness, metallicness and hint of grain. Palate was light bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were metallicness, sweetness, mildly grain and quite mild bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet, a bit grainy and bitter. Very mild-flavoured beer and still a harsh one.
