Keller Pils. Like great jazz improvisation, there are endless opportunities when crafting malt, water, hops and yeast into beer. Varying only the variety of hops employed each time we brew a Braumeister Pils, we get to enjoy this pleasure of possibilities. Cold conditioned for maximum refinement, it is always offered unfiltered. ABV: 4.7-5.4%

Expect dry, quenching character as the often subtle, sometimes assertive signatures of great hop varieties lead this brewers quartet.

Served on draft at Beer Run in Charlottesville, VA, 6/21/10. Pours a clear golden color with a medium sized head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of bready, slightly doughy and toasty (is that possible?) malts, grassy hops and a very faint metallic note. The taste is pale, bready malts, grassy citrus hops. Well balanced and refreshing. Medium bodied. Nice beer.

Absolutely delicious. Draught. Poured golden yellow with medium white head. Spring aroma, new grass and the fields. Malty flavour, full body and lekker hop notes. Well balanced. Endless beer finish. Would make a wonderful session beer.

Sampled on draft at the Rivertowne Inn in North Huntingdon PA this beer poured a medium yellow color with a large white head that lingered. The aroma was dryish, spicy and floral hops. The flavor was bitter, tart and crisp with notes of floral and spicy hops and light chewy malts. The finish was bitter and hoppy. Nice.

On tap at the Bocktown. Pale ubiquitous yellow with a decent unfading eighth inch head. barely any aroma, just clean and fresh. Taste is certainly mild pilsner. Comes on friendly then morhps to a more bitter lager flavor. Eventually you are left with that pils personality on the the buds. Is not over the top in bitterness. Find it enjoyable. Finish does leave a linger character of a stronger pils.
