The evolution of American Pale Ale—still a session beer but it sacrifices nothing—clear hop flavor shines through without being too dominant, and there’s a great malt flavor uncommon to the variety. The backbone of this beer is the balance of imported Maris Otter and Caramunich malts with the pine and citrus flavors of Centennial, Simcoe, and Citra hops.

Slight haze, light earthy hop nose with caramelly-biscuity hops. Ok, basically a slightly hoppy amber with a juicy hop finish. But nothing too bright.

This beer is a clear orange-straw color with a medium off-white head that recedes steadily. Strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of grassy hops, pine and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of grapefruit, piney hops and grainy malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a citrusy hops aftertaste. Decent overall.

Location: Draft at Cabo Fish Taco, 1/7/15
Aroma: The aroma is citrus and floral hops, some pine notes, caramel, and bread
Appearance: It pours an unclear orange color with an off-white head
Flavor: The flavor is similar to the nose, well balanced, with a clean, bitter finish
Palate: The body is light-medium, easy drinking, pretty clean, with a soft, dry finish
Overall Impression: This is an enjoyable APA from NODA. Definitely an easy drinking, crushable brew. Can of these would do well at pools, tailgates, etc.
