Dark copper color with sweet malt and pumpkin pie spice aroma. Flavor is malty sweet with caramel and toffee like Irish red with heavy pumpkin pie flavor and a spicy wood taste. Excellent.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, 2013 bottling. Pours lightly hazy deep orange copper color with a 1-2 finger dense light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big pumpkin, pumpkin seed, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, caramel, toast, gingerbread, brown sugar, and herbal earthiness. Damn nice aromas with nice prominence of pumpkin notes with balanced malt/spices; with good strength. Taste of big pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, gingerbread, caramel, toast, clove, brown sugar, and herbal earthiness. Minimal bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of pumpkin, gingerbread, cinnamon, nutmeg, toast, caramel, and brown sugar on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and complexity of pumpkin, malt, and spice flavors; with nice robustness and zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a smooth, moderately slick, and crisp mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice pumpkin ale! All around good balance, complexity, and robustness of pumpkin, malt, and spice flavors; and very smooth to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Bottle. Clear reddish amber color with amber waves of foam. Aroma of nutmeg, cinnamon. Taste is light bodied light spice. 7-3-6-2-10 on 9/21/2013. Second time, on tap at Cornelius Draft. Better integration of spice, which is subtle and complements the base beer. Very tasty.

Clear orange/amber body with a minimal off-white head. The aroma is fruity, some pumpkin, sweet with a touch of alcohol. The flavor has some spice and hop bitterness but is largely lacking a pumpkin character.
