16 oz. can from Total Wine in Greenville, SC. Thanks Kathy! Pours a hazy orange-gold color with a large, thick khaki head and great retention. Good lacing too. Lots of streaming carbonation. Light caramel malt aroma. Mellow caramel malt flavor in a bready lager body. Lightly sweet. Smooth and clean finish. Easily repeatable. Medium body and medium carbonation. Low bitterness. Great beer.

16 ounce can. Amber gold pour. Frothy beige head. Mild toasted malt aroma. Flavor is lightly sweet and bready. Some herbal hops as well, but the malt shines here. Clean and crisp with some toffeeish notes on backend.

From a pint can. Pours a clear copper with a quickly receding off white head. Aromas of toasted brown bread. Flavors are sweet caramel with some herbal hop bitterness. Overall pretty tasty for the style.

Nice toast-and-caramel front, deep and rich like you want from a good märzen. Back end leans a bit overhopped, with an outsized Noble hop floral bitterness giving an unfortunate medicinal note to the finish. Good, could be great.

Tap at Craft. Amber golden brown colour, with small off-white head. Aroma is lightly fruity, brown bread malt, bit of brown sugar sweetness. Taste is interesting, bit pudding like, sweet, slightly fruity, caramel maltiness, apples maybe too and brown sugar. Quite nice. Uncomplicated. --- Beer merged from original tick of Märzenbier on 09 Sep 2019 at 16:05 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 8 | Flavor - 8 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 8.
