Sink into the delicious malt profile of Above and Below, brewed with a blend of gently roasted malts for a toasted biscuit and coffee base. Above this is a selection of piney, citrusy hops backed up with a balanced bitterness. Moreish and fulfilling, the beer leaves you wanting more.

Lovely ale. Nice toasted malts, coffee, pine, citrus, orange peel, little toasted toffee, bread, modest earthy bitterness. Very well rounded. Super drinkable.

3/7/2026. Can bought at the Food Museum, Stowmarket. It had been on the draft beer festival list but wasn’t available. Enjoyed as a finisher at Ipswich station whilst waiting for transport home. Nice bready, toasted, piney, caramel aroma. Moderate sweetness. Drying. Good.

440ml can. Pours dark brown with a big beige head. Aroma of dark malts, coffee, biscuit, piney hops. Taste features a strong dark malt base, plenty of coffee and biscuit, a little dark chocolate, the hops are very piney with citrus support, assertive bitterness. Medium bodied.
Who knew Brown Ales could be this great? Taking inspiration from a BIPA I'd say. Good stuff.
