Bomber. Pours hazy copper with a large cream-colored head with great retention; leaves decorative lacework. Aroma is hoppy for a saison--woodsy, piney, floral, perfumey hops. Taste is more in line with the category. Along with the prominent aforementioned hops, Belgian yeast and an earthiness are noticeable. It starts out lightly sweet before becoming quite bitter. Mouthfeel is creamy. Pretty good.

Sample at GABF 10/11/2012, thanks to Bluemeow76 for assistance with note-taking. Pours a clear pale orange color with a medium fizzy white head and short strings of lace. Aroma of citrus, yeast and spices. Medium body with flavors of lemon zest, yeast and touches of malt. The finish is sweet with a short yeast aftertaste. Decent overall.

Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours hazy dark gold with a 3 finger creamy/foamy tan head. Lots of hop. Seems floral and resin. Earthy as well. Med + body. Starts with lots of hop. Many types, but they leave with bubble gum behind. Then it goes earthy, fruity citrus. This stuff suggests Belgian, but has really cool hops. And it is earthy beneath it all. Delicious, brilliant, effing great ale. Complex to me.

Slightly hazy golden coloured body with a thick, three centimetre tall, soapy tan coloured head. Aroma of strong yeast, a little light hops, some earth, a bit of coriander seed and corn, but a ton of yeast. Light-bodied; Sharp pungent hops up front with a strong herbal and grassy note then followed soon behind by the funk and complexity of barnyard smells, hay, grass and yeast. Aftertaste is quite bitter from the hops and the yeast/light spices, but a good sweetness remains and a nice complexity finishes the beer well. Overall, a nice and hop-centric saison with some yeastier notes and a good complexity. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Total Wine in McLean, Virginia on 01-August-2012 for US$4.99 sampled at home in Washington on 21-August-2012.

Lemongrass, funk, and persimmon nose. Hints of marshmallow also discernible. Hazy amber, thick cream colored sticky head. Grapefruit, lemongrass, and funk. Orange peel at midpalate and beyond. There’s even a malty presence. Alcohol well concealed. Multi-dimensional and very well balanced, nice intensity. West coast saison if there is such a thing. Fantastic!

Bomber from Total Wine West Richmond, VA. Pours a clear amber color with a medium sized sticky white head. Good head retention and the lacing may take a Brillo pad to remove. The aroma is big hop notes... citrus, tropical and floral notes. Faint malts. The taste is huge, intense citrus notes with pith, tropical and herbal notes also. Caramel malts. Medium bodied, low carbonation, a little weird, but solid.
