Bottle pour into nonic pint glass from Hannaford, Raymond. Appearance is cloudy light orange/dark yellow with trace sparkle, finger-width foamy white head with poor retention and minimal lacing. Aroma is brown sugar, sweet malts, with fruity, citrusy hops, some faint basement dankness. Taste is citrusy orange with slight sourness over malt backbone. Palate is light bodied with thin texture, soft carbonation and mix of sweet and bitter finish with light sour tinge. Overall, aroma and taste shine while appearance and palate pale (no pun intended) by comparison.

22 oz. bottle from On the Vine. English pint shows a murky amber color with great retention and fluffy lacing sticky all the way down the side. Average carbonation. Big grapefruit nose with bready malt. Taste is nicely balanced with the sweet bread malt and fruity / herbal hops. A bit of a grainy flavor. The hops linger on your palate well after the sip. Finish is mostly a dry texture, yet the hops make me salivate. This is a finely made APA.

Bottle shared by Jcwattsrugger. Pours light copper amber with off white head. Nose of pineapple, caramel malts, apple core and pine. Taste of same but muted with lots of dry grains and some off notes. Light to medium body. Finishes dry.

Pours a deep reddish copper color with a healthy white head that shows moderate retention and lace. Smells of bready, toffee and caramel malts with just enough floral and earthy hoppiness to keep this fairly balanced. Taste is kind of sweet and a bit heavy on the caramel. Lightly fruity flavor with just a hint of chocolate and enough floral earthy hops to almost counter the sweetness. Finishes fairly dry with a lingering earthy hop bite. Medium body and level of carbonation with a sweet slick almost syrupy mouthfeel. Nice pale ale, but a little heavy and sweet for the style although I would drink this again.
