Not much head, but its actually apricot in color....pure and clean in the amber waves of beer...distinct apricot on the sniff, like fresh squeezed (extract) apricot....clean palate, makes Frank salivate...easy to drink, but for a wheat beer it’s quite un-cloudy....a bit of malt backbone, but blended to carry the apricot to just the right balance, also a tad heavy for a wheat beer, but apricots tend to be thick in flavor and thickness, at least in the nectar form, so it’s all good...anyway...yum!...and Frank’s arrival date:...4-24-07...welcome back to Jerzee with a brew to you..:)

Bottle. (thx Furseth) Clear, golden pour with an off-white head. Apricot-fruity nose with nothing else to find. The flavor is quite wheaty, but with lots of apricot as well. Sweet, fruity finish. Medium bodied beer which is quite refreshing, but I couldn’t be drinking much of it. (070608)

335ml bottle. Clear golden body with a small off-white head. Strong apricot aroma. Flavor is more apricot than beer, but what do you expect from something like this? At least it’s not too sticky and have a certain bitter finish. Rather thin body.

12 oz brown bottle with a twist off cap. Twist her off and you get an aroma of apricot and beer, possibly a little artificial in smell. The color and head of this is your ubiquitous pale yellow american beer, with bubbles within. The taste of this is reminiscent of the Blueberry sea dog. Not as sweet as the aroma would indicate. There is a bit of apricot flavor in there but not a whole lot. Interesting but as far as it being wheat, not much wheat character in there. It is not cloudy and there is no sludge on the bottom of the bottle. I must say, there is no bitterness in there like so many ’wheat’ beers that I had that were hopped to a certain extent. Finish is mild and medium length with an interesting and different apricot hanging flavor. A little disappointing for a wheat beer but as expected for a typical fruit beer. Cannot even come close to Lancaster’s Strawberry wheat as far as enjoyability goes.

Bottle shared from Indiana_Red: Pale yellow pour with a small white head. Nose is lots of apricot and citrus, hints of wheat. Pleasant aroma really. Taste is muddled fruit, malty, wheat... a bit soapy.

Bottle Pours a slightly hazy pale yellow with a white skim head. Dish soap and light malts...oh and some apricot "exxence" Flavor was very faint fruit and extremely light malt notes. Some apricot comes back a few seconds after the sip but the lingering soapy bitterness really sticks with you. Light fizzy feel. Here’s hoping this "Sea Dog" doesn’t make it back to port for a long time.....

Bottled (Thanks omhper). Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is apricot and slight wheat. Flavour is paper, perfumed soap and that’s about it. Watery, and too biting carbonation.
