Bottle, the beer had a nice apricot aroma but the flavor was more like dishwater = i.e. not nice at all.

12 ounce bottle from Vintage Cellar in Blacksburg, VA. Pours a pale golden amber with a medium head. Poor head retention and lacing. Aroma is tart apricot with subte bready notes. Taste is bread and tart apricots. I like the tartness in this one. Medium bodied.

Crystal clear golden orange body with no head at all. Aroma of bright apricots, caster sugar, malt and a light sense of hops. Light-bodied; Sharp metallic and offsetting flavour of funky malt and bad sugars, all with a bitter and soapy aftertaste - not good at all. The end shows some skunky wheat and yeast and nothing pleasant to speak of. Overall, the aroma doesn’t dissapoint, but the tastes and palate of the beer are just plain, not good. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Trader Joe’s in Falls Church (Skyline), Virginia on 18-September-2008, sampled at home in Washington on 09-October-2008.

Bottled as Kennebunkport Apricot Wheat. Color is a fairly light amber/gold with a minimal head and a nice number of carbonation streams flowing toward the surface. Aromas are solid apricots... that’s it... almost an apricot marmolade or something. Not quite fake, but not 100% natural, either. Elements in the flavor that I found interesting: the wheat notes come through very clearly in the aftertaste, but you have to kind of wait for them to get there before taking another sip; the apricot presence is much stronger in scent than in flavor; a kind of lemony/grassy hops presence matches the malt body nicely.

Not a bad beer at all, especially for only $1. Powerful apricot aroma. Some wheat, and more apricot, wheat, and green tea in the flavor. Cloudy.

12 oz bottle of Kennebunkport Apricot Wheat from Trader Joe’s; nose of caramel, butter, and apricots; translucent orange with a medium off-white head; flavor of apricots with a tiny butter (diacetyl) note. Without the diacetyl probably would be pretty good. Wished it tasted nearly as good as it looked!

Bottle. Clear amber beer with a white head. Big apricot aroma with some malt. Apricot, wheat flavor that lingers. Medium body. Flavor gets old and tiring very fast.

Aroma was pretty much apricot. Flavor was pretty artificial, but to be honest it wasn’t bad. Certainly nothing offensive about this beer to warrant such a low score.

12 oz. bottle as "Kennebunkport Apricot Wheat," from Trader Joe’s. Fresh apricot smell is a good start. Dark orange color, a fizzy fading head. Smell in the glass more resembles apricot Jell-o, though. Taste falls into kind of apricot "drink" unsupported by any beer character. Can’t tell that this is a wheat beer. I just drank it down and put it out of mind. Maybe apricot works better if there’s some pulp in it?

Bottle (as Kennebunkport Apricot Wheat). Apricot aroma. Orange tinged gold color with a decent white head. Nearly medium body, and moderate, near creamy, carbonation. Wheat flavor with apricot. It is what it purports to be. The finish is apricot and doughy? A clean, slightly sweet finish.
