Liam Ashurst is taking us to the Lake District for his second release. We’ve gone for a very fitting, but not often seen, Mountain IPA, which takes the juicy haze of a New England style beer, with the piney bitterness of their West Coast counterpart, for an IPA with incredible depth. Fresh melon and dark berry flavours of the brand new dry-hopped variety Luna, bolstered by a dank citrus pith edge courtesy of some hot side Eclipse.
This beer is part of a whole series of releases curated by Barth Haas X and Brewers Select, with UK based breweries being paired with some of Australia’s finest. Our release is made in collaboration with Bridge Road Brewers, based in Beechworth, Victoria. Founded in 2000 by winemaker turned brewer Ben and his wife Maria.
Liam Ashurst is an illustrator and designer whose bold graphic designs have a delightful sense of place and he’ll be showing us some of his favourite spots around the UK.
Hops: Eclipse, Enigma, Mosaic Lupocores, Citra Lupocores

440ml can. Murky yellow with a white head. Aroma of tangerine, grapefruit, berries. Taste is very citrusy, tangerine, grapefruit, berries, some stone fruit, pine, quite pithy. Medium bodied.
Looks like NM have no clue what hops they used in this. Description mentions the new Luna hop but this isn't on the can label or the inside description. And of course Mosaic and Citra aren't Australian so that doesn't make sense given how they named it.

Can. Hazy orange gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Airy smooth palate, decent fine minerally carbonation. Light smooth pale malts, a light sweetness. A light smoky kinda thing from somewhere. Soft cooling pine. Juicy peachy stone fruits hops. I'm struggling to pick up anything from the other 3 hops. Smooth finish. A winner an Eclipse IPA. No idea what the Australian Mountain aspect is or where the other 3 hops disappeared to. Confused.com. Very nice Eclipse IPA.
