In case anyone hadn’t already noticed, we’re big suckers for nostalgia here at Polly’s Brew Co. We’ve showcased that thirst for nostalgia by working with a brewery that has existed on our radars long before Polly’s existed, stretching back to the days in which a considerable amount of us all worked in our own bars and restaurants, serving beers from the understated but magnificent Brimstage Brewery. Quietly making some of the best cask beer we’ve had the pleasure to try, we decided to bring our collective expertise together to brew a heritage style and a celebration of our formative drinking years – Shifting Plates. Kicking it very old school and utilising full leaf Styrian hops, this beer leads with the malt to give a warm hug of nostalgia, but with a bright and pleasant fruitiness in a thoroughly modern best bitter.
