Bouteille 75cl de Geers partagée avec Tomaz. Brune foncée, col fin moka-blanc cassé. Arôme est profond au niveau du fruité noir surtout un bouquet figue et raisin très prenant. Note un petit ajout malté pâle voire grillé le tout ponctué par ce rétro de noisettes grillées - ici des amandes. Palais est aussi fruité dans un style noir renforcé par une belle dominance de figue. Note un profil épais de levure, malts pâle, caramel, voire légèrement crystal pour un certain sucre résiduel.

Slow build-up of cream to tan head, very dense, and pretty stable over brown-red to black beer. Woody, lightly sourish, tannine, woodstripper; bit dusty nose. Roasted, burnt, again dusty, sandy. I keep searching for the raisins, the figs, the almonds... Finish has some sweetish alcohol and malt, faintly fusely. Not very well-bodied, certain slickness, astringent and wry. On the fence of styles, lacking in flavours, difficultly drinkable.

Dunkelbraunes Bier mit ordentlicher Schaumkrone. Geruch röstmalzig, Kaffee, schokoladig. Geschmack sehr röstmalzg, fruchtig, Kaffee.

Black color with small beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, then light coffee, cardboard and liquorice. Medium body strength; not too dry, quite smooth indeed; flavor of roasted malt, sharp but not excessive, with a pleasant back flavor of coffee, and a touch of dark chocolate; light residual sweetness in the end, with dark chocolate and a touch of liquorice; there is something different from similar beers, and that may be the dates. Correct bitterness. Balanced.

Tap at Festival der Bierkulturen. Dark brown colour with small, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Fruity and chocolately aroma. Taste is minimally sweet dark malty with a nuttily touch, chocolate, cocoa, hints of coffee, notes of dark fruit, plum, raisin, fig. Very nice.

Draft at fourth Braustelle festival. Dark brown color, tan head. Aroma of cocoa, dark winter fruits. Taste has coffee, figs, port wine. Tasty and not too sweet.
