Saddleback Ale is an all-malt crisp American light ale with a great balance and natural drinkability. A Sebago favorite since the beginning and is now made with a healthy dose of Maine grown hops and malt. Simply put, this is beer-drinking beer.

At Portland Hampton Inn: light gold. White head. Minimal aroma. Taste was not to my liking. Weird finish and aftertaste. Super light.

Reviewed from notes. This was poured into a pint glass every time.
The appearance had a golden yellow semi - clear body with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within less than thirty seconds leaving no lacing left in the wake.
The smell was grainy and cereal - like with a little bit of toasted - ness to it.
The taste was mainly sweet through the cereal/toastiness/graininess.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a pretty good sessionability about it. The carbonation was okay for the style and for me.
Overall honestly, the smell and taste tend to be a little weak so this ended up being a blonde ale I didn’t frequent too often when I lived in Maine.

On tap at the Kennebunk location. A pale straw pour with a ring of white head; grainy aroma; light citrus taste; and a crisp clean finish. A good start to a flight of this brewery’s ales.

Keg at the Portland branch. Pours clear yellow wuth a fine, creamy white head. Biscuity pale malts in the nose, hints of lemon peel. Light sweet flavor with simple but tasty pale malts, biscuits, hints of buttered white bread. Light in body with aberage carbonation. Crisp finish with further basic and biscuity pale malts, mellow cereal. Fine.

tap at the Portland brewpub - Pours clear yellow-gold and very bubbly. It has a light cereal malt and hop aroma. The flavor is lightly bitter and reminiscent of a Czech pils. It’s quite refreshing.
