Moa St Josephs is a classic Belgian Tripel. Strong spice, caramel and banana ester characters create complex flavours and aromas which are heightened by its extended bottle conditioning period. The combination of bittering hops, malt and candy sugars compliment the high alcohol content and integrate into a very approachable and drinkable Tripel.

Light haze on this gold beer. Residual white head. Palate is smooth with low carbonation. Pretty sweet malts, even for a Tripel. Light dry floralness, touch of spice. Sweet dried fruits. Fairly neutral finish. Pretty tasty but slightly sweet.

375ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Hazy orange pour, no head, no carbonation at all in fact. Aromas are all Belgian yeasty goodness - pepper spice, coriander, whisky-end phenols. Palate has wine-like qualities, due to the high alcohol no doubt, but white grapes are there, alongside raw grain spirit notes. Weird beer. Not sure I like it. Being totally flat didn’t help.

(Bottle, 0.375 l, at OlutExpo 2013) The beer poured golden and hazy. Its head was small and white. Aroma had honey, fruitiness and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, honey, malts, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste was fruity and bitter. A different but a still tasty tripel.

33 cl bottle @ Olutexpo 2013
Aroma has soapy citrus, some herbal notes and grass. Flavour is sweetish with apricot, some citrus and herbs. A tripel way too sweet. The apricot notes are nice though.
