Don’t mind the flashes. This unique pale lager with big hop aroma and citrus kick tends to attract a lot of attention.

Light citrus aroma, with a little pine. Soft carb, a touch thick on the mouth feel. The finish is a tad sweet, and the malts come through in the form sweet corn. As it warms there is a distinct wet paper aroma. Meh.

Flight pour at brewery. Pours clear yellow with white head. Aroma has pale malts and fresh grass. Flavour has sourbread malts, some resin; pretty good balance between hops and malt. Clean and crisp, not exciting but well made.

A hazed golden orange lager with a thick frothy lacing light mocha head. In aroma, sweet caramel malt with loads of oxidation, treacle,, honey, metallic notes. In mouth, sweet caramel malt with light mineral notes, honey, oxidized notes, faint hops, tired. Bottle from LCBO.

341 ml bottle. (6% ABV) Pours a clear amber with an average, short lived, white head that laces. Sweet bready malt aroma with grapefruit and caramel. Sweet citrus flavour with bread, grass, pine, caramel and a slightly dry, bitter, resin finish. Light body with an oily texture and medium carbonation. Surprisingly well done.

Bottle - Pale malts and some grass. Clear gold with a decent white head. Up front grassy and light citrus bitterness, finishes with a bit of biscuit. OK, but there is nothing really interesting here.

Draught @ St. Augustine’s, Vancouver, BC
Pours clear golden orange with a smooth head. Aroma of citrus, crisp malts and hops. Taste is smooth, malty and crisp with some citrus and lemony notes. Finish is smooth and malty with some bitterness. A bit unbalanced.

Bronze colour w thin white head. Aroma of mostly citrusy hop. Thin malts are almost crackery but not quite. Interesting brew. Has enough hop nuance for the palehead, but is clean and straightforward in its presentation.

Nice name, boring beer - no head and just the usual non-carbonated brown-gold body. Aroma is soft hops. Flavour does no justice to the name with only vague hops notes and a watery finish. Drinkable, but uninteresting.
