Full Moon is a West Coast style pale ale that is both kettle hopped and dry hopped with Centennial and Cascades. The hops provide this ale with a nice citrus-like taste to balance out the caramel malts.

Notes
West Coast style pale ales are from a larger category of brews called American Pale Ale (APA). The APA is a cleaner and slightly hoppier version of British Pale Ales using North American hop varieties but everything else remains the same, right down to the balance between malts and hops to the medium body. With the additional hops APA tends to produce nice fruit-like flavours while balancing out the bitterness from the hops used in the process. 12.2°

Copper to amber color, creamy head. Very nice fruity hop aroma. Toffee flavor, with a strong bitterness (with some fruitness and resins); just a bit more sweetness would be needed for my taste. Strong and long final. Good.

Hazy golden color. A good APA with good creamy and fruity hops, quite malty, good bitterness, well aromatic, some resins, not much aggressive.

(Bottle, Stockholm Beer Festival, 29 Sep 2007) Amber colour, slightly cloudy, with brief beige head. Fruity nose with notes of grapefruit, slightly sweaty character with very fresh hops (dry hopped?). Fruity taste with apricots, grapefruit and a fresh, dry-hopped character in a medium long finish. Not very bitter. Fresh and nice.

A dark orange beer with an off-white head. The aroma is sweet and very hoppy, but also with notes of flowers, caramel, and citrus. The flavor is sweet malty with primary notes of caramel, and lesser notes of hops and citrus. The end is dry, hoppy, and bitter, while the body is a bit thin.

(Bottle 34,1 cl) Courtesy of presario. Pours a slightly hazy amber golden with a small, off-white head. Very fresh and citrusy - grapefruitish - aroma. Medium-bodied with some caramel and then this fresh, citrusy hopping leaving a dry bitterness. Very lovely indeed. 290806

Bottle: Poured a deep amber color ale with a medium head with short retention. Aroma of citrus hops is quite powerful and dominant. Taste is also dominated by the citrus hops with a lingering bitterness at the end. Body is too thin (definite lack of malt) for the style and the carbonation is a bit low. Nice for the style from a Canadian brewer but kind of weak compared to US staples of the style.

Hazy dark amber to orange colour. Nice nose of resinous hops and citrus, american style. Hops are very presnet in taste, with grapefruit, and some black pepper.Very enjoyable. Thanks to TrevorN.
