From a 12 oz. bottle. Pours a clear copper with a thick off white head. Grassy aroma. Flavors are bitter pine. Bitter finish but not at bad as the bitter aftertaste of Cleveland Sports Fans.

bottle - Deep gold pour. Aroma of pine and citrus hops and caramel malt. The flavor has high hops bitterness with pine, citrus, and a solid malt backbone. Medium to full bodied. Very good.

12 oz bottle. Pours golden amber with an off-white head and sparse small particles. Fruity citrus and tropical hop aromas, tea and toasty malts. Flavor has citrus, grassy/herbal hops, a touch of tea. Decent, but I wouldn’t mind a bit more flavor.

Sampled on draft this beer poured an orange-brown color with a medium sized foamy orange-white head that left decent lacing. The aroma was tangy, sweet and a bit tart with orange and an off tropical note. The flavor was tangy and sourish with slightly off tropical fruit and orange. Medium length finish. Moderately full bodied. Meh.

Orange peel, apple core, and pencil shavings nose. Clear orange, medium yellow head, nice lacing. Orange and varnished wood, maraschino cherries. Medium body, warm, easy carbonation.

Good DIPA

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, best before 7/11/2017. Pours slightly hazy deep golden amber/light orange color with 1-2 finger fairly dense and rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of huge pineapple, apricot, peach, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, tangerine, grapefruit, lemon/orange peel, light pepper/pine, honey, light caramel, toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/tropical/citrusy hops and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of huge pineapple, apricot, peach, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, tangerine, grapefruit, lemon/orange peel, light pepper/pine, honey, light caramel, toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine/citrus peel/grassy/spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of pineapple, apricot, peach, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, tangerine, grapefruit, lemon/orange peel, pepper, pine, honey, toasted bread, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/tropical/citrusy hops and bready malt sweetness; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and minimal lingering hop astringency after the finish. Zero cloying sweetness. Light-moderate dryness from bitterness, increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/sticky, and slightly resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 8%. Overall this is a delicious DIPA. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/tropical/citrusy hops and bready malt sweetness; very smooth and easy to drink for the ABV, with the balanced bitter/drying finish. Extremely juicy and slightly dank on hops; sizable malt backbone, but never overly sweet/heavy feeling. Reminds me of Lake Erie monster quite a lot; but is more fruity/tropical on hop flavors, and mellower/smoother on bitterness. A very enjoyable offering.
