Bottle. Small gusher on opening. Cloudy yellow pour with a fast disappearing head. The aroma is apricots and yeast. The taste, like the aroma, is all about apricots. there is also a fair amount of bready yeast in there too. Palate is medium, carbonation is prickly. Finishes with lingering acidity. Overall: kind of strange, kind of good.

Poured from a 750 ml bottle; I believe vintage 2013. Aroma is very Brett forward with lots of pineapple, cherry pie and other tropical fruit notes. Medium light phenolic notes, slightly grassy with some lemongrass and pepper. Light white wine notes with some green grape and faint oak. Light grain notes. Oh shit, this beer is a major gusher!!! Pours a hazy, golden orange with a large, thin, white head that recedes fairly quickly to the edges where it lingers for a bit. No lacing or legs. Flavor is somewhat sweet with some light grain notes and hints of honey. Moderate white wine notes with some green grape, tropical fruit and faint oak. Moderately strong Brett characteristics with pineapple, cherry pie, light grassy phenolics and hints of pepper. Faint cacao notes, but I can’t really identify the pumpkin or candied endive. Medium light bitterness and light alcohol heat. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with high carbonation. Low astringency and medium low alcohol warmth. Overall, a pretty good beer despite being a gusher. I also think it helps that that cacao is light and the endive and pumpkin are unidentifiable. The abv is pretty well hidden too with just a bit of it in the finish.

Tasting at Matt’s
Cloudy blond color with no head. Powerful aroma, funky, very vinous, fruit, Chardonnay. Very dry mouthfeel, highly carbonated, full bodied; strong flavors, malt, wood, white wine, yeast. Salty. Juicy too, with good bitterness level; warming alcohol. A lot of character for this beer. Very good.

375mL bottle, pours a cloudy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of dry chardonnay notes upfront, followed by Belgian yeast, some tropical stone fruits, and wild yeast. Flavour is complex and expressive, with lots of wild funky yeast upfront, along with stone fruits galore, and accentuated beautifully by the chardonnay barrels. Finishes oaky and somewhat boozy on the finish from the barrels. Excellent.

Bottle thanks to Gibson. Pours a cloudy yellow orange with frothy white head that lasts. The aroma is yeast, pepper, and clove. Medium body, funky, yeast, lemon zest, spice finish, decent.

Bottle. Hazy gold with nice lace. Tart nose of yogurt, white wine, some cocoa, and some phenols. Flavor is medicinal, phenolic band-aid. Pretty gross actually, after a promising start.
