We welcomed our friends Tripping Animals all the way from Miami into the brewery to collaborate on a style we both know and love, a big fruit-forward DIPA. The inspiration? To capture the sun-drenched spirit of Miami’s white beaches and tropical landscape. We’ve selected a blend of Motueka Cryo, Nelson Cryo and Strata T90 for luscious flavours of ripe guava, fresh strawberries, all complemented by refined hints of lychee and green grapes.

29th Can. Just a very mild haze on this gold beer, small and short lived whitish head. Light palate, a little dry, decent superfine minerally carbonation. Light pale malts, whisper of grain. Cooling pine and slightly resinous but bright and juicy hop fruits. There is a kinda Belgian estery sweetness bubbling up from somewhere. Hop fruits are grape, citrus, touch of stone fruits. An interesting brew but, it engaged my head far more than my heart.

Keg at Enid Street. Hazyngold. Foamy white head. Aroma is sweet - sugared fruit - with a dank edge. It's sweet and sugary with a light bitter edge. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Yum.

Can at home, from HOTM online, 03/07/2026.
Hazed orange to golden topped with a big old white cap.
Nose is sharp citric zest, berry fruits, grass, herb, lychee.
Taste comprises bitter tropicana, grass, pine nip, lychee, guava, stone fruit.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with grassy come lightly danko hop bitterness.
Tidy enough DIPA ... probs the elusive 7.7 ... but not from CW's top drawer.

Pours hazy pale yellow gold with a thin head that fades. Guava, ripe tropical fruit, dank notes, hint of strawberry offers a lift from the heavy dankness. Bit of booze on the end. Solid DIPA
