Sampled on draft at Hugo’s this beer poured a black color with a small beige head that left good lacing. The aroma was strong chocolate syrup, bread, coffee, vanilla, and malted milk. The flavor was strong brewed coffee, chocolate syrup, cream and malted milk. Very long finish of coffee and chocolate syrup. Full bodied, smooth and creamy. Alcohol very well controlled. Outstanding.

I honk this is where this goes. Isn’t called double coffee. Black, duh, dry coffee grounds aroma. Some bittersweet cocoa, light acidity, and cold coffee. But not sweet or bit. Similar in flavor with cold coffee but not big/sweet. More fumy coffee and a bit more rich chocolate.

Draft at Milk and Hops-Chelsea. Pours dark brown-black, no head or lace. Rich sweetened coffee aroma. Sweet flavor as well, coffee and vanilla. Very smooth, clean feel. ABV is very well hidden.

Draught @ Milk and Hops Chelsea. Opaque dark brown with very small frothy tan head, sharp coffee aroma, medium carbonation, lightly bitter mocha taste, thin body, long bitter coffee finish. Well balanced imperial stout.

Crowler thanks to Rainer. Pours a very dark brown with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is strong roasted coffee, dark chocolate, wood, ash. Thick mouth, strong roast, ash, wood, dark chocolate, light bitter finish, very nice.

Crowler thanks to Petrinoda! Pours inky black, small tan head that lasts a while and laces pretty well. Aroma is a rich mocha, lots of chocolate and coffee blended well with roasty malts. Flavor is light plus sweet, medium bitter, lots of mocha here too. Coffee ever present, but not overpowering. Fullish body, smooth and rich, lingering bitterness. Really solid.

Poured from a 22oz bottle. Aroma is super coffee forward with a nice light chocolate note. Low nuttiness and fruit character. Hints of roast. Poured dark brown, not quite black with a dark tan head with decent retention. Light lacing and long legs. Flavor is moderately sweet and chocolate forward with a nice light roast note. Moderate coffee and some light nuttiness. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and medium low alcohol warmth. Overall, a nice coffee stout with some good base character. Nice coffee notes that are strong and fresh.
