Hops: Citra.
A citrus explosion from the far north!
The guys at Sudden Death Brewing have done it again, presenting us with Hop Selection - Citra, a true love letter to one of the world's most legendary hop varieties. This Double New England IPA is a veritable haze of haze and impressively demonstrates why Citra is the undisputed king of the craft beer scene. Expect an incredibly juicy mouthfeel accompanied by intense aromas of tangy lime, ripe mango, and a generous dose of grapefruit. Despite its hefty 8.0% ABV, this DIPA is dangerously drinkable, perfectly concealing the alcohol behind a thick, creamy body. The finish is smooth and fruity, instantly making you want another swig from the can. An absolute must-try for all hazy IPA fans seeking the perfect balance between sweetness and hop punch!

Can at home, from HOTM online, 08/08/02026.
Murky orange topped with a lasting off white head.
Nose is bitter orange, grapefruit, pine needle, dank nip, mango pulp.
Taste comprises grapefruit, pine resin, hop spice, mixed tropicana, lychee.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spliced with juicy come resinous hop bitterness allied to a rising boost.
Tidy DIPA.

Tap at Ø. Murky milky yellow-golden body, off-white head. Citric, alcoholic aroma, oaty, grape jelly, nectarine. Lean, dry taste, alcohol, nectarine, jelly, low bitterness. Okay, but the other two were better.

Can picked up from Beyond Beer webshop Hamburg and consumed at home Sunday 21st June 2026, listening to Antony Szmierek - The Heron, now listening to an album by Getdown Services called - Crisps. We're cooking Prawns, Feta and Chorizo in a Tomato sauce but we had some thunder, lightning ⚡ and steady rain, so cooked inside. Pours murky yellow/yolky colour with a white head, lots of hops on the nose with tropical notes I get some mango and passion fruit. Zappy in the mouth, tangy, this is really easy drinking despite the 8.0% abv. Wow so hoppy, creamy mouthfeel. Like this. Score: 7.6
