Sampled from a 12 oz clear bottle this cider poured a yellow-gold color with an enormous foamy white head that faded quickly and left no lacing. The aroma was apple juice, apple peel and was fairly dry. The flavor was exceptionally dry with a cardboard note followed by a bit of apple and band aid. Long dry cardboard and band aid finish. light body. Not good at all.

Twelve ounce bottle from the Northern Liberties Foodery in Philly. Poured into a rounded pint glass.
Clear bronze body. Soda fizz.
Smells of gummi bears, fragrant perry, & plastic.
Tastes of boiled apples, peel, stems, & all. Saline. Watermelon rind bitterness. Banana-ish esters mixed in with some residual yeasty quality towards the end. Dry, but more acidic & not at all tart or crisp. Harsh forced carbonation seems to be to try & fill those gaps.
A bit to anemic for me.

On tap at the 1-4 the road and most recently at the house of 1000 beers, ther it was called philly dry cider. It tasted like my old homemade cider. Old reating: Fairly clear with lots of co2 present, makes an attractive looking drink. Not much aroma, just simple and clean, barely smell any apple if any. THe taste is dry with no sugar, this must have fermented all the way out. A little more friendly than my own homemade cider. Good co2. Just a simple clean cider, not a sugary drink like so many of the bottled ciders available around here. Finish is simple and not bitter at all. Yes, rather enjoyable for a dry cider. Does have a somewhat difficult aftertaste, like most fully fermented ciders.

#1400. Clear golden with noticeable carbonation and a small white head. Aroma is light tart apples, faint sweetness. Thin bodied with a hefty carbonation bite. Flavor is green apples, light tart, light sweetness, and a fairly dry finish. Not an overly sweet cider. Decent. Glad to see a local brewery going after a cider. (Draft at 700)
