Smithwick’s is produced using the finest hops and special roasted, malted barley. In 1998 a new enhanced draught product with improved head retention was launched along with redesigned glassware.

Pours dark dark brown/red with lots of head. A little nutty, hoppy, and malty with a clean finnish. Not bad.

Bottle. Loved this beer. Nice reddish-brown color. Not much head. Smells of malt, slightly sweet. Flavor, good balance, leaning a bit to the malt side. Have to have another.

500ml bottle. nice amber pour, aroma is malt, with notes of caramell. Flavour is slightly sweet, and with a slight caramel nuttiness. mouthfeel is smooth, but thin. a very drinkable beer, nothing spectacular, but nice.

Pint on tap at McMullans, Las Vegas. Ruby red beer with tight foamy white head. Caramel malt nose. Smooth texture, nice lacing. Bitter hoppy finish. Nice quaffing ale. My type of sessioner.

Old-school malt bomb, not a bad import, one I used to drink fairly regularly a couple decades ago. Caramel, toast, and apple lead to a mild floral bitterness on the finish. Decent.
