Draft at Big Hunt poured into a highball. Pours black with tan head. Aromas of cherry, dark chocolate. Tasting notes of cherry, dark chocolate, woody notes. Medium-full body with a dry finish. Medium carbonation, oily syrupy mouthfeel. Like this better than the regular version.

4oz sample at Churchkey’s 3 Stars 1st Anniversary event. Pours an oily, mahogany amber with some ringing beige head. Nose of vanilla, cherries, a little blueberry, wood, licorice, brown sugar. Flavor is sweet, malty, cracker, vanilla, caramel, whiskey, wood pulp, coffee, toast, cola. Full, sticky finish.

Tap Meridian Pint for CBC. Poured a dark brown, with ruby notes, very small mocha head that quickly dissipated. Aroma was vanilla notes, dark fruits, come bitter chocolates, some light notes of wood and some very basic black cherry character here. Flavor was dark fruits, bitter chocolate, roasted malts. Probably could have let this sit a little longer to impart a few more flavors.
