Bottle at home. Golden colour with big white bubbly head. Aroma is slightly citrus, bit floury, biscuits too. Taste is initially quite sweet and citrussy, but few sips afterwards it becomes much more grainy, with a decent bitter finish. Still lots of fruit though. Slight bubblegum flavour in there too. Quite interesting.

15th Aug 2016: shared 33cl bottle with the bloke who’s wife brought this (along with 4 other Japanese beers) home from a cycling holiday in Japan. As the name might suggest, this is a golden coloured beer, the head an off-white affair. Light malty nose leaning towards a sweetish caramel aroma. Taste also malts first backed up with a slight citrusy hop feel. OK and a good start to the mini-Japanese tasting session.

Bottle from Hasegawa. Bready, grainy nose with some light citrus notes. Average carbonation with a light body. Malty and sweet on the palate with some light bitterness on the finish that lingers. Pretty forgettable.

A golden beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of straw and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of flowery hops, malt, straw, and caramel, leading to a bitter finish.

Honey citrus, butter aroma. Medium dark gold color. Flavor also honey butter with lots of hops and good citrus and other fruits. Very bitter finish. Exactly what I like in a golden ale: good light flavor, great hops. Could drink it all night.

For what reasons I’m not usre of, it took forever to get my hands on this beer. Pour is light copper-orange in color with a layer of an off-white head. Sweet malts, caramel, tropical fruits, and some floral notes round out the refreshing aroma. As it warms bready malts become much stronger, nearly overwhelming the rest of the aroma. Light, crisp body. Nice fruity flavor with caramel malts and a friendly hop bite in the finish. A solid ale that would be easily sessionable.
