Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 21B - Red IPA). Bottle 33 cl - Batch unknown (BBF 30.JUL2019 - Bottled on 30.OCT.2018). AROMA: medium-low cereal husk aroma and alcohol. hops absent. APPEARANCE: light amber color and cloudy with material in suspension. large tanned head with good retention. TASTE: medium caramel-like malt flavour, followed by low oxidized hops. low cereal husk note. medium-high bitterness with a bitter finish. PALATE: medium body with medium-high carbonation. astringency derived from harsh bitterness. OVERALL: a red double IPA already without the hops.

Bottle at Pedale, Madrid, may 2013
Hazy dark amber color with medium head. Light aroma of hop and sweat, more was expected. Good body strength, with caramel flavor, moderate sweetness, strong bitterness, some bitter oranges and resins.
Not delivering fresh hops feeling.

Bottled. A dark amber beer with a yellowish head. The aroma has notes of over ripe fruits, caramel, and berries. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, wet hay, caramel, and berries, lesding to a bitter finish. A bit odd.

Shared with fiulijn @ El Pedal. Amberish colour with an off-white head with an average duration. Aroma is caramel malts, sweet and toast sugar. Flavor is sweet, with toffee notes, caramel, intense malty. The final results with a good bitterness with orange notes and good duration.

Bottle. Minerally, pine, grass, orangepeel. Cloudy orange brown, low off-white cream. Fairly bitter, orange peel, clay notes. medium body, mellow mouthfeel. grassy finish, heavy orange peel and pine retronasal - bit too much tilt in that direction IMHO.

Shared bottle at El Pedal. Pours dark amber with a beige head. Intense caramel aroma with fruits, malt and some hoppy notes. Very, very sweet. Far to sweet for my taste. Nice as a dessert beer, but it dosn’t feel like an IIPA. The hops and the bitteness is probably hidden behind a thick layer of caramel. (2012-08-17)
