Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a bright golden color with a huge creamy orange-white head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was sweet, tangy and yeasty with notes of sugar and golden fruit. The flavor was sweet, tangy and yeasty with notes of sugar, golden fruit and a hint of pepper. Medium length finish. Moderately full bodied. Well done.

Bottle. Pours a clear gold with a slight orange hue and a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has lots of bread with underlying notes of hay and sweet grains. Flavor has notes of earthy grains and bread with hay underlying.

That bocktown monaca is a great place to taste beers. Funny on this one its called big easy but its brewed in wisconsin, heheheh. Good co2 from the start. Fairly clear smell about it. Perhaps a hint of candy on the nose. Fairly light at first but then there is this somthing happening. Some mild bandaid thing. What is this trying to tell me? Was it a purposefully beer to that this way or was it an accident? I’m not sure. yes, is this a maibock or is it a heller? Could be a premium lager as well. Could be a mestake that they just wanted to get outtah here. Finish is a bit difficult and unique fer sure. Hides alky well if its over 5%

12 ounce bottle into lager glass, bottled on 2/10/2014. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy deep gold color with a 1 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass, with some moderate streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of orange zest, plum, apple, honey, toast, biscuit, light nuttiness, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of pale malt, earthy hops, and yeast ester notes; with solid strength. Taste of orange zest, plum, apple, honey, toast, biscuit, light nuttiness, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Light earthy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon/orange zest, plum, apple, honey, toast, biscuit, light caramel, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice robustness and balance of pale malt, earthy hops, and yeast ester flavors; with a good malt/bitterness balance and no cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, crisp, and lightly bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with only a slight warming present after the finish. Overall this is a nice Maibock style. Good robustness and balance of pale malt, earthy hops, and yeast ester flavors; and very smooth and crisp to sip on for the ABV. A nicely enjoyable offering.

Enjoyed as Lakefront Big Easy Imperial Maibock. 12 oz bottle purchased as a single at France 44 in Minneapolis. Bottled on 01/16/2014 stamped on the bottle neck. The pour is a mostly clear golden orange with a 1/2 inch off white head that halls fast with noisy large bubbles. The aroma is caramel, floral malt along with some general hay yeast notes. The taste is sweet hay floral earth with a bit of warming alcohol in the finish. The palate is medium to full bodied with residual sweet hay yeast character and a hint of warmth in the back. Solid maibock.

Bottle offered @ home, via rote boxe. Thanks! Pours a bit hazy, bright orange appearance with a thin tan head. A lot of sweet orange candy, sweet mash / grain water aroma. A little watery and very twangy. Lots of grass and sweetness. Finishes way too sweet. Pass.

Bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a hazy rust orange with minimal head. Aroma of citrus with a strong malt backbone. Taste is light bitter. Follows aroma. Caramel malt dominates the finish. Medium bodied with a slick texture. Lively carbonation and a long finish. Pretty good.

Rating from 2010 as Imperial Maibock. 6%. Der Antrunk ist mild-weich.süßlich. Mild karamellig.

Muddy Orange Color, Huge Head Dissipated almost immediately leaving only a couple of strings of lacing. Sweet, caramel, malt, just a hint of light bitter at the end, although sweet dominates this one. Real smooth for this ABV, easy to drink Good For what it is. OK.
