Non-conventional India Pale created with To Øl, our Danish friends from Copenhagen. We decided to enrich the citrusy flavor of american hops with the delicacy of oat malt and the acidic freshness given by Trebbiano grape must added during boil.

Draught at La Fine Mousse, 4/24/15
Bronzed-golden body is topped by a flimsy white head, receding to cover quickly. Strong chill-haze but otherwise clear.
Lemons, tangerines and light pineapple notes grace the nose. Not hugely aromatic, but what’s there is pleasant and well-done, leaving traces of light honey and vanilla-flavored dough on the end. No alcohol or flaws and the grape must seems to add a bit of minerality and acidity, though it’s difficult to discern this through the hops.
Zesty and brightly acidic up front, it has a chewy texture that is broken up somewhat by the carbonation and overall dryness of the beer. All of Brewfist’s beers are well-attenuated, not something a lot of breweries can say....Still, enough malt sweetness is added to balance the plethora of citrus flavors and acidity persists, pleasantly on the finish, where it’s joined by a light white grape flavor. Unsure if I am just projecting this since I was aware this had grape must. It’s very possible it’s just another flavor emanating from the complex and funky mosaic hop. Regardless, the amount of adjunct used is very reserved, another thing that Brewfist has done well across all of the beers I tried. Interesting, enjoyable and drinkable with a very complex finish. Rating not really against a general IPA style. This is hoppy, though not in the realm of most modern IPAs. More of an experimental ale, which many of their beers are and which I really enjoy.

Hazy yellow with bright white head. Fruity hop aroma with grapefruit and peach. Quite a sharp citrusy flavour with lemon, grapefruit. Refreshingly tangy with a solid, bitter, dry finish.

bottle at home bought at Braukunst Live, Munich. amber hazy color, small white head. smells light flowery, citric, some herbs, mint, elderberry flower, lemongrass, light grapefruity, quite good and fresh smell, but overall very light and subtle smell. medium body, slick mouthfeel, soft carbonation, very herbal taste, peppermint, citric, lemon, orange, basil, thyme, some citric sourness, herbal / light to medium bitter aftertaste. quite liked the smell, i m not so crazy about herbal bitter beers though, just decent.

Trocken bitterer, stark hopfiger Antrunk. Bitter fruchtiger Mittelteil, wobei die Bitterkeit die anderen Aromen fast überdeckt. Stark bitterer, dennoch ausgewogener Nachgeschmack. 11/10/9/11//11

330ml bottle. Slightly cloudy, yellow-ish golden colour with average to huge, fluffy, half-way lasting, moderately lacing, white head. Slightly grassy, citrusy hoppy aroma, some hay, some lemon. Taste is dry hoppy, moderate bitterness, hints of hay, lemon, lemon zest, fruit parings; some dusty yeast action accompanies the limoncello finish. Quite light and watery, not much of a malty backbone. Disappointing considering the use of Citra and Mosaic; especially I miss the Mosaic characteristics.

Bottle at The Sparrow Bier Cafe, Bradford, Friday 20th February 2015 Amazing fresh hop aroma, it is stunning, so clean and vibrant and fresh, lovely. Soft in the mouth but with a good bitter snap, a touch of grapefruit adds a very pleasant citrus fruitiness, it’s a nice beer. A10 A3 T7 P3 Ov16 3.9
